This was our final piece for Beginning Painting. We had to make our own still life with objects of personal value to us. I wanted to include my favorite figurines along with my favorite teddy bears. Comfort characters fighting in a colosseum. I wanted Superman to be fighting Doomguy as they have conflicting morals and attitudes toward being heroic. Then I wanted my childhood self to look on, represented by all the bears. Then, I would sit in the middle looking on, represented by King Knight. This was because King Knight was the closest to how I viewed myself in my head, as what would later become Cavalier. I feel like one of those artists who is trying to expand upon a piece for more than it's worth but I thought many of these things while making it. Overall I ran out of time to render some areas but it was satisfying to make for me.
