This was part of a series of inkblot drawings I did for my Advanced Drawing class. I based the concept on Kim Diaz Holm's daily ink monster series as I deeply enjoyed his creative process of letting the ink figure out what you wanted to draw. This is part of a series of 6 pieces that I made in a weekend that I deem a mini Renaissance as each piece I made looks amazing to me and is wildly unique. This was likely my best piece out of them all. I referenced it on a picture I saw on Instagram. I wanted to experiment a bit with rendering metal by using a style used in early comic books to portray the reflections. I thought it turned out fantastic, the chest piece is a bit messy but it still doesn't detract from the piece to me. You'll probably notice the lettering is similar to the one used on this site.
