Duct Tape, Carboard
~1 x 2 x 6.2 ft

Process
At this point, I was confident in my ability to make cardboard structures to some effect from my previous Superman Unchained project. He was incredibly large. I wanted to make a sort of dummy or life-sized action figure. Something big but something I could easily transport. He sat in my passenger seat a few times.
To accomplish his structure, I first spent way too much money buying duct tape. Then I would wrap duct tape around myself and fill that structure with newspaper, old notes, trash, and other things. Nothing organic. Once his body was fully filled, I had to wrap my head. I did all of this myself with no help. I nearly suffocated but it was fun. Then I crafted his armor out of cardboard. The chest piece was the most dreaded part for me before doing this but surprisingly it was very easy, the cardboard bent the way I wanted. To a certain point, he isn't exactly finished or what I had in mind. I wanted to cover him with comic books but I began to try to apply it and it wasn't working. I also thought about coating the cardboard in plaster to make it solid but I thought that might be a bad idea to transport him as he could barely fit in my car in the first place. I was also working on Unrequited as well at this time.
I wanted him to be leisurely enjoying a cookie, inspired by Reaper from Overwatch. I think I achieved this to some extent. Many people told me they thought someone was sitting there at first. I left him in a lobby at the sculpture building for a few weeks. Unfortunately, someone stole his cookie after a while but I got him more for the showcase.
Post-college, I used to have him watch shows with me but eventually moved him to the attic.
